The Long Beach Fire Department is seeking proposals from qualified firms for a Mobile Computer Assisted Dispatch computer program that will provide a real-time interface and two-way mobile communication capability for Fire Emergency Personnel with the LBFDs CAD system. The Mobile CAD will replace LBFDs existing Mobile CAD program that operates on ruggedized laptop type Mobile Digital Computers also referred to as Mobile Data Terminals and Microsoft Windows

The Long Beach Fire Department (LBFD) is requesting proposals to modernize the Department's incident management approach by enhancing communication between personnel and systems. The department also plans to improve user experience and manage costs by replacing traditional ruggedized toughbooks with iPads. The proposed solution will encompass all current Computer Aided Dispatch (CAD) capabilities found in vehicles, alongside additional integrations, data feeds, mobile phone connectivity, and unified response capabilities. This project is viewed as transformative and foundational for the Department.
